About the Job:
Our team is growing, and Marcon Metalfab (www.marconmetal.com) is hiring a Robot Welding Operator to join our dynamic team based in Delta’s Tilbury Park.

We are located in Tilbury Industrial Park in Delta BC, with four ways to get here – the Massey Tunnel, Alex Fraser Bridge, South Fraser Perimeter Rd., and Hwy 99.
Position Details:
- Shift: Weekend Shift
- Friday to Sunday (12-hour shifts)
- 5:15 AM to 5:45 PM (includes an additional 4 paid hours to reach 40/week)
- Pay: $28 - $34 (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Robotically weld parts together according to drawings and specifications.
- Responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and monitoring robotic welders, and set up of robotic welders.
- Debugging, programming, and path editing, repairing and replacing damaged components such as weld guns, and electrodes, troubleshooting, and developing root cause analysis of machine and welder issues.
- Ensure all tasks are performed in the allotted time.
- Inspection of all welds to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Assure that 1st off/1st part is inspected and meets Quality Assurance requirements.
- Able to read and interpret the shop manufacturing drawings.
- Basic maintenance of Welding and Set-up equipment in addition to ensuring gas and wire as required for the following shift.
- Other reasonable tasks and duties, as required.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with robot welding.
- Experience in maintaining robotic weld cells (programming and setting up an asset).
- Experience in the use of tape measures, vernier caliper, and other measuring tools.
- Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet while using tools to perform repetitive tasks.
- Mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to understand complex instructions, how schematics work, and make sure items are designed and built correctly.
- Strong problem-solving skills - understand why machines are not at peak performance, how to increase output and how to fix errors.
- Ability to work both independently and with supervision.
